I Feel Pretty

Yesterday I went saw the movie "I Feel Pretty". I personally thought it was a good movie because it had a little bit of everything from funny puns to sending an important message to society of what is actually means to be beautiful. I thought the message was presented in a good way that relates to the people of average lifestyle. The main character was an average woman, nothing special trying to fit into the beauty world, but knew she would never make it because of the way she looked and her body size and shape. Until one day she was granted what she wanted, to be and feel pretty and it was fun for her, but then she realized that looks are not everything, people do not always care what is on the outside, and after realizing that she found her own confidence and embraced and appreciated for who she was.

I thought it was a good movie choice since I am writing an essay on body shaming in society and went well with it. It open new ideas for my essay, on both sides of the topic by how those who are left out of the "perfect body" standards feel and the ones with the "perfect body" standards still struggle even when they are suppose to be the ones who are admired in society. Overall, good movie, good message and highly recommend seeing it.
