My Advertisement

2017 KIA Niro ft. Melissa  McCarthy  Out of all the commercials/ads on television I chose this one because it just makes you smile when you watch it, which is never a bad thing. This advertisement represents pathos by using humor to help engage and interest the audience into watching, since society thrives for acts of comedy for entertainment. Also by using a popular celebrity, such as Melissa McCarthy, that is a comedy actress,  to become the face of their product the company Kia is trying to sell. This advertisement represents ethos by using important issues in today's society, like global warming, endangered animals, etc. to help grab the audiences attention, with going hand in hand of introducing the more efficient Eco friendly car.  This advertisement represents logos by using facts and logic, to promote Kia's new 2017 model, like stating that it is it  has updates and improved features, more efficient on gas, and in all, better for the environment. The hashtag Kia

Life....  Have you ever just took a moment to think about what you have learned in life so far? Recently, I have, just out of curiosity. I am only nineteen years old, so believe there is plenty for me still to learn, but up until this age the most important thing I have learned that is actually useful and will continue to hold on to is to just be true to yourself. If I could tell younger me any piece of advice, that is what I would say. Growing up, I have always wanted to fit in, everyone does, it is human nature. We always look to people we see on television, the internet, even our own peers to determine what we want to be and how we what to act. It is sad that pop culture has that power over us to produce that effect.  I have experienced that phase of trying to act more like the people I'm surrounded by and what I witness on social media, because in this society, when people are different and want to stand out, they just get rejected. It is only because others just did not h

Purple the Color. I was thinking about what to write and could not come up with anything. so I decided to write about my favorite color, purple. Purple is a pretty cool color, it has some interesting facts behind it. For example did you know that purple was the first artificial dye color to be created? It is when the primary colors of red and blue are mixed together, which then make the secondary color of purple is formed. Back in history purple symbolized royalty and wealth, because members of the royal family would be the only ones to wear the color purple since it was so rare and expense to make. A lot of royal members still to this day use it as a ceremonial color. Purple is used in a lot of propaganda for women's rights and feminist movements. Encourages and sparks creativity. As well as calms the mind. Purple is associated with the traits of: - Vanity - Extravagance - Individualism - Magical - Spiritual - Strength - Physical & mental healing - Pride It

Mindful Meditation : ) Recently, I went to a class hosted by Lewis University, called 30- Mindful Minutes. The point was to help students become aware of their emotions, especially stress, frustration, and anxiety.  While becoming aware of one's own emotions, it makes it easier to get them under control and change them from negative energies to positive energies.  Taking 30 minutes out of your day to mediate or closing your eyes and taking to deep breathes and just reflecting on life can help change your reflection of that day, also to help keep the stress of a college student at bay. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!  When I feel stress or frustration, I have been trying this method out and finding that it helps to relax the mind from going in overload mode.
